1984

I recently watched FarenHYPE 911, which although dated was very good.  My first time watching it.  I didn’t feel the need to watch a movie to tell me Michael Moore is an idiot and a liar, but it was on Netflix so I watched it.  It’s sad to reflect back on how we have changed, how facts have little to do with anything anymore.  Much like the O.J. Simpson trial, the gap between us is wide and impossible to cross.  Since that trial, that division has come to define where we are at today.

The left, which included Obama, attacked Bush on every angle.  I’m not looking to say that the attacks were correct or not, but I do find it interesting that the same people who were concerned about wars and Constitutional rights are strangely silent about Obama.  In fact, the only scrutiny he seems to get is outside of the mainstream media, and any scrutiny, any statement of concern, is attacked as racism or extremism.  If you were concerned then, how could you not be now?  Be it war, Constitutional rights and safeguards, the budget or the economy, Obama has dwarfed George W. Bush in a very short time.

Also, someone has to say it, Bush is gone people.  Obama had the House and the Senate, and while the House was lost, he still retains the Senate.  He had the power few presidents ever get, and yet all he has is blame, attacks, and excuses.  Would W have been able to get away with that?  In fact would any president at any point in our nation’s history?  Strange days indeed.

I’m going to forgo the links on the following, as I’m lazy tonight, but if so inclined, please look for yourself.

We have had the NDAA, and numerous executive orders that can suspend the Constitution, signed by Obama.  We are one event away from the death of the Republic.  The left would be screaming if Bush or Romney held such powers, especially if they showed Obama’s level of disdain for the rule of law and Constitutional protections.  The media would be watching like a hawk, reporting on every detail.  They’d even make up lies to rile the people, and justify it as a legitimate concern.

It is a legitimate concern, but no one is watching.  The most dangerous politicians are the ones no one watches and/or the ones who are blindly trusted.  In Obama’s case we have both.  The mainstream media has become an extension of the DNC, and they are neither watching or concerned.  You know, Tom and Katy are far more interesting.

9/11 ushered in a change in our rule of law and our liberties.  That has been expanded  under Obama.  Given the current situation, imagine a major attack against something like the London Olympics, one which made 9/11 look small.  A worse case scenario could be closer than we think.

Bush actively engaged Islamic terrorists, with our forces fighting them in the Middle East, our people torturing for information and acting on the information they gathered. This led to the death of Bin Ladin.  In contrast, Obama has largely disengaged from that pursuit.  To look at the Department of Justice, you’d think the Tea Party brought down the World Trade Center.  He has empowered the radical muslims in the Middle East while dropping protections on the border.  He has suspended deportations.

Exactly how far off do we think a major terrorist event is?  Our enemies remain determined to hit us, and we have done everything to aid them.  You would think they wanted another 9/11.  Our efforts to betray our allies and aid our enemies have not changed the latter’s feelings toward us.  It was Clinton’s eight years of ignoring the obvious threat that led to 9/11; how much greater the treat with Obama?  Carter left us a terrorist state in Iran, Obama has given Iran allies in Egypt and Libya.

One event…

One event, and the Republic is dead.

Stand with Arizona and Against the Illegal Invasion

One of the most fundamental roles of government is securing the national borders.  Both Republicans and Democrats have failed miserably in this basic task.  Any nation that does not have borders is not truly sovereign.  Arizona has stepped into the void, standing on the front lines of this invasion and paying a heavy price for the federal governments unwillingness to enforce our laws.  In this Arizona has come under much fire from various groups and the federal government itself.

They’re even having to face Mexican drug gangs armed by our Justice Department!

I still find the argument strange that the feds would say that this is our responsibility and not Arizona’s.  Where the federal government has failed to fulfill its role, is it not imperative for the state to step in and protect their own people?  I am sharing a petition in support of Arizona, and I ask all of you who do support Arizona and SB 1070 to take time to sign this petition and share it with others.
