Breakfast in Missouri

I was sitting in the truck stop eating breakfast as the other drivers were calling for more gun laws and restrictions. Rather than debate them, I simply asked, “Would this have happened in Texas?” The consensus was that in Texas, half the crowd would have been armed, the idiot would have been fired back on, the cops would likely have killed the guy if the crowd hadn’t, and if not, given Texas’ willingness to punish, the guy would have been executed already.

Truth is it could have happened anywhere, but an armed people are not a defenseless people. The solution is not to make the people weaker and more vulnerable to the whims of evil. There are many levels here, but taking away our right to keep and bear arms is not the right option. It will only leave us more vulnerable.

      • I know gov. and left will exploit, Rahm has said so rather bluntly. But truckers calling for more restrictions and gun laws? I know Nafta thing about allowing Mex trucks equal access has I guess come about, (although can’t say if I’ve seen one down Florida way), Man…they hear more on CB and radio talk…are you talking to Mex drivers?
