Bush’s Fault

I’m unsure of who wrote this, but I agree with it.  The fact is that the Democrats have controlled the direction of this country since taking over Congress, and Bush is carrying the blame for their failed policies.  Even now the Democrats try to blame the Republicans, but they hold the White House and the Senate.  The Republicans do not hold the power to give direction, the Democrats do.  I am reminded of the line from “Cold Mountain”, “But they made the weather and then they stand in the rain and say ‘Shit, it’s raining!”  Please read and share!

The day the democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009, it was actually January 3rd 2007 the day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, at the very start of the 110th Congress.

The Democrat Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995.

For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is “Bush’s Fault”, think about this:

January 3rd, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress.

At the time:
The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77
The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%
The Unemployment rate was 4.6%
George Bush’s Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB GROWTH!!!

Remember the day…January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee.

The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy?

BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!

Unemployment… to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOES!

Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie – starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy.

And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac? OBAMA!!!

And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie? OBAMA and the Democrat Congress!!!

So when someone tries to blame Bush..

REMEMBER JANUARY 3rd, 2007…. THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!

Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democrat Party.

Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for 2008 & 2009 as well as 2010 &2011.

In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases.

For 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the 2009 budgets.

And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete 2009.

If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets.

If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself. In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is I inherited a deficit that I voted for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th.

  1. Humming with the choir. All above i agree with. I miss him yet. He may not have been able to chop firewood with Reagan. Still up to us to complete mission. The following is youtube Choir Humming…not the country western I like, but pics give acknowledgement to the Lord.

  2. Hey Cowboy,

As far as Obama “saying.” Obama is saying nothing and never has. Don’t even get me started on that man!! I could shovel his crap the rest of my life and never get to the bottom of it:>) God Bless, SR

      • Well I have some other words but I had to use the best one which best suits who I am and still get my point across! Sometimes that is rather a hard thing to do! Thanks and God Bless, SR

    • I am amazed at the people of faith who support this man, especially Catholics, as in my mind where there is a conflict between my faith and my politics, my faith comes first. I fail to see how one can reconcile Catholic faith (or any Christian denomination) with Obama. The concept of socialist is not in line with Biblical thought. As the people of Israel called out for a King, God warned in Judges of govt and the loss of freedom. God is right.

  3. I always woonder if Obama realizes what power he gives to President Bush
I watched a BBC interveiw the other day with the Dalai lama and the
reporter asked him what he thought of the American Presidents he had met
he smiled, a beautiful smile, and said he liked President Bush, when asked which one(and the look of shock on the reporters face was priceless)
he said the nice one, the younger one, he said he may not agree with all he does/did but he is nice from the inside , he is the nicest person he has has met….(paraphrasing)
I met President Bush and his wife when they were in the Governs house here …
they are two of the nicest and sincerest people you’ll ever meet….

I wonder if anyone will ever say that Obam in history yet to be told

    • If history is based in the study of facts, the verdict of history will be far kinder to George W. Bush than to Barack H. Obama. Unfortunately, History as currently taught is based in ideology, but that cannot stand forever. The truth has a way of coming out. I just regret the hostility extended to this man by the left, and by our current President who saw his portrait unveiling as as opportunity to insult. One man has dignity and class, while the other does not.

      • I went back to school a couple years ago…no one is taught history really,
        they are taught political correctness…
I didn’t watch what obama said/did, I watched President Bush and First Lady Bush
        I stay away from obama’s words…
I don’t care what religion or faith he is…if a man stands and denies his God to the world to gain a postion then there is and will be nothing sacred to him to not lie about..for there s nothing more sacred than the Divines word what ever you choose to call hime
each faith is here for a reason, its the twisted ones that twist their faiths/religions to fit their purpose …
I got out of the Army because I thought Carter was going to be in for another 4 years, I can’t imagine what our military is like with obama, well yes I can, my son is military(5 tours in Irag)
I hope we make it to November before he fisinishes selling us out
        Take Care…
